Mattress Recycling Organization Advisory Committee

CalRecycle is required to appoint an advisory committee to be part of the mattress recycling organization (MRO). The MRO advisory committee must prepare reports before the MRO submits:

  • Mattress stewardship plans
  • Annual reports
  • Annual budgets

All documents include written recommendations and a summary of the MRO advisory committee’s consultative process with the MRO.

CalRecycle is soliciting applications from interested parties that wish to be considered to serve on the MRO advisory committee. See the solicitation letter for instructions on how to apply. Applications are due to Mattresses@CalRecycle.ca.gov by January 9, 2026.
