Sarah Keck is CalRecycle’s deputy director of the Administration, Finance and IT Services Division. She previously held the position of chief financial officer for the department for six years. In her time at CalRecycle, Ms. Keck has overseen almost every aspect of finance for the department. This includes accounting, financial reporting and budgeting operations including budget change proposals, designing plans for fiscal policy development and application, addressing internal and external audit findings, and the implementation of new finance systems.
Ms. Keck first joined the Integrated Waste Management Board in 2005, where she assisted with the fiscal implementation of the E-Waste program. Prior to working at CalRecycle, Ms. Keck worked at the California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission, a small commission within the State Treasurer’s Office that provides information, education and technical assistance on debt issuance and public fund investments to local public agencies and other public finance professionals. She has also worked for the Department of Transportation, and the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Ms. Keck has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Sacramento.
