  • Road to Recovery: Camp Fire Tree Removal Progress Update

    The State of California continues to aid Butte County in its recovery from the Camp Fire. Wildfire residential debris recovery ended in November of 2019. California is now focused on removing over 100,000 trees at risk of falling on public property and public rights of way.

    Through June 5, 2021, the Camp Fire Hazard Tree Removal program has cleared trees from 5,380 out of the 6,279 properties with eligible trees.  Of the 101,389 trees in Butte County that have been identified as dead or dying, 76,503 trees have been felled.
